Do you ever wonder what’s really recyclable? Or whether compost is worth the effort? If you’re part of the DA community (including parents and alumni), you’re invited to par learn about these issues and their relation to climate change.
You’ll spend the day with the Upper School Student Government Sustainability Committee and find out about our systems for solid waste, recycling, and composting. This will be the first ever summer seminar offered at DA! Join it to create new connections and help launch a sustainable school year!
Who: rising 8th graders, Upper Schoolers, faculty and staff, parents, alumni
When: Wednesday, August 11, 9:00-2:30 (lunch included); extension to 4:00 for interested teachers*
Where: Upper School Learning Commons & Quad
Why: Because we can all live more sustainably and reduce carbon emissions!
